BTW AMD just dropped a big announcement that they're launching Ryzen 4000 series in October!! So maybe swap the CPU in this video with one of those shiny new Zen 3 chips when they're ready. ^_^ Also, @jayztwocents just posted a video briefly talking about it ICYMI. Love you guys!

Great build! Although, if I were you I would just go with the stock cooler; I mean after all the wraith prism is still good, and still allows for a fair amount of overclocking. I would then use the 100 dollars saved to upgrade the other gear, such as adding a bit of RGB, upgrading to a ~200 "low end" x570 motherboard such as an ASUS TUF x570, and getting a 1TB NVME.

You can’t just pick out memory like this for an AMD system! You have to actually go to motherboard website and make damn sure the memory you want actually works with AMD. Intel you can buy any ram it will work, AMD is super picky about memory .

I have a 3080 build and went i9 10900K, it kicks AMDs ass in cyberpunk and all my favorite games, what good is this build, you’ll have to upgrade so soon, just buy a 3950 or newer AMD CPU now. I’ve always been cheap and bought last years mid range cpu and graphics card and never again, I just buy best now I can find and keep for longer. I9 in Paul’s Hardware tests still ties or kicks AMDs ass in most games

Thanks for this. I'll be getting a PC at the start of 2021. Hopefully I can get my hands on an RTX3080 and the new AMD CPU. Maybe the 5900x. I'll need 64GB RAM. I'm expecting to pay around $2,200. BUT I'll also need a new monitor with a higher refresh rate so probably will be closer to $2,500. Wish it was easier to get this stuff right now!

So following this video I went to PCPartPicker and selected all of the items as you did. But the Website is telling me that the Mother board has one additional 12V ATX 4 pin connector that the Silverstone essential does not. Is this something to be concerned with? Would you want to choose another power supply or is this something you would never actually use?

I’m having an i9 9900k , a ROG maximus XI HERO and a 750W PSU, is it enough to upgrade my GPU to 3080? I’m currently having a 2080 and it works fine, but I’m just not sure if I need to upgrade anything else other than my gpu if I want to optimize the performance overall.
